was excited to try out Material Design Lite -- but the Google Sites restricts HTML, CSS, Javsscript edits to the 'HTML Box' tool which further restricts external files -- resulting in failed to load external url icon?family=Material+Icons with no successful work arounds so far. It still seems like a worthy approach for other hosting options, just strange considering it's Google Sites with Google's Material Design. Oh well, failed attempts below
